Rev. Floyd E. Medlock, 68, of Bradford, Arkansas, departed this life on Monday, April 14, 2014 at his home. He was born May 25, 1946 in the Tuckers Ridge Community of Bradford, and married Miss Gaile Gatties on July 18, 1965.

Rev. Medlock had worked as a carpenter at Sink Construction, and at Taylor Made Ambulance. Most importantly, he was former Minister of Oakland Free Will Baptist Church for 26 years, and a member of 41 years. He loved to cook out and spend time with his family. Mr. Medlock loved building and working with his hands. His greatest joy was his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Rev. Medlock was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Little Jimmy Medlock.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Gaile (Gatties) Medlock; one son, Robert Medlock and wife Sheila of Bradford; one daughter, Judith Willis and husband, Rickey of Bradford; one brother, Steve Medlock and wife Renda of Bradford; two sisters, Peggy Miller and husband, Ray of Bradford and Donna McDaniels of Florida; two grandchildren, Joshua Willis of Bradford and Miranda Medlock of Bradford; two great-grandchildren, Carter Remington Gauge Willis and Wyatt Colton Spencer Willis, of Judsonia; several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews; and his dog, Buster.

Friends may visit at the funeral home Wednesday evening, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Oakland Free Will Baptist Church with interment following in Oakland Cemetery.
