November 14, 1952 - February 11, 2007
Michael Wayne Cochran, 54 went to be with the Lord on Sunday February 11, 2007 at the UAMS Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. To most people he was known as Mickey.
Born November 14, 1952 in Augusta, Georgia he was the only child of Jeanette and Collie "Bud" Cochran. His mother died when he was young and his father later married Dovie Hennessy.
After graduating from Magnolia High School in 1972 he entered the United States Army where he spent several years in Germany. He was employed in the oilfield from the late 70's to the early 90's where he was injured and had to seek other employment. For the last several years he was employed by Alcoa as a Security Guard. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of ABATE, American Bikers Association Towards Education. His hobbies included riding his motorcycle, hunting, fishing and visiting friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and in heaven he is reunited with his daughter, Jennifer Ashley Cochran, whom he had deeply missed for five years; and step-sister, Marie Whitt.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Raylene Cochran and daughter, Jessica Amber of Magnolia, Arkansas; sons, David and Chase Loveless of Magnolia, Arkansas; and daughter, Randi Reece and grandchildren, Chesalee, Levi and Elijah of Dardanelle, Arkansas; many cousins and close dear friends.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at the Shiloh Cemetery with Pastor Billy Nordmeyer officiating under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 13, 2007 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, Mickey would want donations be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
We wish to thank the staff of UAMS for all the kindness and tender care of Mickey during his stay. May God bless each of you.
