Carolyn June Hayes, 77 of Waldo, Arkansas died Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas in El Dorado, Arkansas. She was born May 31, 1934 in the Trickman Community in Columbia County, Arkansas to the late Joseph Looney and Mildred Averil (Phillips) McKissack.
Carolyn was a quality control inspector for Firestone. She was a member of the Antioch West Baptist Church, the Red Hat Society and the Pink Lady Auxiliary at the Magnolia Regional Medical Center.
She is survived by her husband, John Howard Hayes of Waldo; son, John A. Hayes and wife Judy of Waldo; sister, Betty Chandler of McNeil; grandchildren, Wesley Hayes and wife Janna of Highland Village, Texas, Jamie Warbington and husband Adam of El Dorado and Taylor Hayes of Magnolia; great grandson, Braden Hayes of Texarkana, Texas; two step grandsons, Brent Register and Alex Whitelaw of Magnolia; nephew, Joe Chandler of Benton, Arkansas; and two nieces, Eva Ruth and Kathy Childs of Magnolia.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at the Antioch West Baptist Church with Bro. Chris Lucy officiating. Burial will follow at the Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Antioch West Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Rowe, Gary Smith, Wade Hall, Brian Palmer, Ford Summerlin, and Jack Britt. Honorary pallbearer will be Buddy Tripp.
Memorial donations may be made to the Antioch West Baptist Church.
