Dianne (Whitfield) Smith, 71, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Baxter Memorial Hospital in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Dianne was born on June 16, 1946 in Mountain View, Arkansas to the late Edgar and Giva (Passmore) Whitfield. Dianne worked for 35 years as a dietician in the cafeteria at Stone County Medical Center. Dianne was of the Baptist faith and had loved her flowers and gardening. Dianne was a loving daughter, wife, mother, and will be greatly missed by all of her loving family and friends.
Dianne is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Bobby Smith; seven cousins, Glenda Rose, Linda Fletcher, Sue Younger, Jeanette Kelly, Sharon Nuckolls, Norma Dayberry, and Jenna Lou Ogilbie; one brother-in-law, Roger Smith; one sister-in-law, Pat Deatherage; many nieces and nephews, and her pride and joy Aiden and Autumn who she cared for, but considered them her own children; along with many extended family and friends.
Dianne was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Giva (Passmore) Whitfield, and one daughter, Donna Michelle Smith.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services will follow the visitation beginning at 2:00 PM with Brother Gary Don Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Historic Cemetery of Mountain View in Mountain View, Arkansas.
