When Mary Alice Dausman was born on May 4, 1870, in Union, Indiana, her father, Michel, was 43, and her mother, Mary, was 31. She married John Peter Weaver on November 4, 1894, in Goshen, Indiana. They had seven children in 16 years. She died on August 12, 1923, in Stuttgart, Arkansas, at the age of 53, and was buried there.
