Mr. J.E. "Jim" Halsell, 36, a lifelong Blytheville, Ark. resident, died Thursday, October 30, 1997, in Baton Rouge, La.
Affiliated with the First Grace Church, he was a caterer with S.H.R.M. Catering Service, a 1979 graduate of Blytheville High School and had attended Mississippi County Community College.
Mr. Halsell leaves his fiancée, Tawny Carmon; One son, James Ernest "Bud" Halsell, of Blytheville High School, and had attended Mississippi County Community College.
Mr. Halsell leaves his fiancée, Tawny Carmon; One son, James Ernest "Bud" Halsell, of Blytheville; His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Halsell, of Blytheville; One brother, Bob Halsell, of Blytheville; A sister, Becky Westbrook, of Blytheville; His grandmother, Mrs. Cleo Lamb, of North little Rock, Ark.; Three nieces; and One nephew.
Mr. Halsell was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. Raymond Wren and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Halsell.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, November 2, 1997, at the First Presbyterian Church in Blytheville, with Rev. Thad Grimstead and Rev. Bill Fuller officiating.
Burial was at Elmwood Cemetery in Blytheville with Cobb Funeral Home of Blytheville in charge.
