SILOAM SPRINGS - James (Jim) Franklin Masterson, 79-year-old resident of Siloam Springs, Ark., went to be with the Lord on June 14, 2017, at Siloam Springs Nursing and Rehab with the assistance of Circle of Life Hospice, Springdale, Ark.
James was born June 15, 1937, to Glenn D. and Ruby L. Masterson in Bluffton, Ind. James married Elizabeth Ann Bryant on Oct. 23, 1960, in Phoenix, Ind. He and his family transferred from Berne, Ind., to Arkansas in 1981 with CTS Corporation, where he was employed as a quality control manager.
James was a faithful member of Siloam Springs Nazarene Church. He loved music, singing solos, and being in church choirs quartets. James was known for his smile. He loved spending time with his family, camping, and spending time outdoors.
He was preceded in death by one son, Glenn Wesley Masterson; one brother, Charles D. Masterson; one sister, Betty L. Masterson; and his parents. James is survived by his devoted wife, Elizabeth Ann; one daughter, Teryl Ann Lynn and husband Randy of Gilmer, Texas; two sons, Troy James Masterson and wife Sonya of Protem, Mo., and Brent Masterson of Siloam Springs; three grandsons, James D. Cozby, Daniel D. Cozby, and Jonathan S. Cozby; one sister, Mary L. Amstutz and husband Stan of Berne, Ind.; two step grandchildren, Halie N. Lynn and Crystal A. Lynn; and two step great grandchildren, Brylie Lynn and Brighton Lynn.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, June 17, 2017, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, with Pastor Sandy Statham and Pastor Tim Traxel officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Siloam Springs. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, June 16, 2017, at Wasson Funeral Home.
