When Emma Francis Busby was born in April 1859 in Madison, Alabama, her father, John, was 37, and her mother, Rachel, was 41. She married Adolphus Erwin Low in 1877 in Arkansas. They had ten children in 25 years. She died on August 6, 1938, in Monroe, Arkansas, at the age of 79, and was buried in Stuttgart, Arkansas.
