When Mary B Lewis was born on March 30, 1841, in Memphis, Tennessee, her father, John, was 30, and her mother, Frances, was 25. She married Col. Robert Hamilton Crockett on April 8, 1856, in Shelby, Tennessee. They had four children in 21 years. She died in February 1910 in Tennessee at the age of 68, and was buried in Franklin, Tennessee.
