When Ernest Dene (Lanny) Landrum, Jr was born on July 19, 1952, in Stuttgart, Arkansas, his father, Ernest, was 21 and his mother, Mary, was 20. He had one sibling. He died on February 11, 1974, in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 21, and was buried in his hometown.
