SPRINGDALE — Dorothy Rhea Deweese Allred, 89, died March 10, 2004, in Springdale. She was born Oct. 8, 1914 in Carroll County to Ida Sisco and George Ellis Deweese. She was a member of Westside Freewill Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and was active in her churches for many years. Her caregiver was Patsy Perry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeff Ray Allred on Aug. 9, 1984.
Survivors include one son, Jimmy Ray Allred Sr., and wife Mary; daughter, Dorothy A. Hanby and husband Dr. Charles Albert Hanby; three grandsons, three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Molly Deweese of Hawthorne, Calif., and Bonnie Walker of Berryville.
A celebration of her life will be hell at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sisco Funeral Home in Springdale. A private burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Westside Freewill Baptist, First Methodist Church or Circle of Life Hospice.
