Services for John Ira Gaines, 84, who died Saturday, will be held at 2 p.m. today at First Nazarene Church. The Rev. W.R. Donaldson and the Rev. Harold Thompson will officiate.
Mr. Gaines, a retired farmer, was born at Ripley, Tenn.
He had been a resident of this area since 1902. He was a member of the Nazarene Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lena Gaines; two sons, Roy and Ira Gaines, both of Blytheville; three daughters, Mrs. Emma Buck, Senath, Mo.; Mrs. Juanita Smith and Mrs. Imogene Sanders, both of Steele;
Three nephews, Larry and Eugene Davis and Jolly Leggett, all of Blytheville; five sisters, Mrs. Sally Tredmore, Williford, Ark.; Mrs. Minnie Deniston, Rector; Mrs. Pearl Isinger, Oakland, Tenn.; Mrs. Doll Montague, Memphis, and Mrs. Vessie Morrison, Somerville, Tenn.;
One brother, Veda Gaines, Kansas City, Mo.; 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Paul Buck, Bobby Buck, R.V. Gaines, Luver Gaines, Charles H. Gaines and Gary Sanders.
Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery, Cobb Funeral Home is charge.

Mrs. J.I. Gaines, 88, died Saturday, in Chickasawba Hospital.
Born in Ripley, Tenn, she had lived here since 1902. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene,
She leaves three daughters, Mrs. Royal Sanders and Mrs. Oda Smith, both of Steele, Mo., and Mrs. L.T. Buck of Senath, Mo.; two sons, Roy Gaines and Ira Gaines, both of Blytheville; three nephews, Larry Davis, R.E. Davis and Jolly Leggett, all of Blytheville.
Two brothers, Braden Leggett and Ernest Leggett, both of Ripley; A sister, Mrs. Donnie Garrett of Ripley; Seventeen grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Services were at 2 p.m. today in the First Church of the Nazarene, Rev. C.H. Porter officiating assisted by Rev. Glen Wiggs. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery by Cobb Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Gaines Alan Smith, Charles Herbert Gaines, Bobby Buck, David Ira Gaines, Gary Sanders and R.V. Gaines.
