GENTRY — Gerald Kenneth Rutherford, 74, of Gentry died Oct. 30, 2000, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born May 13, 1926, in Springtown to Claude James and Fern Mae Richards Rutherford. He was a life resident of Northwest Arkansas, a farmer and a member of the First Baptist Church in Highfill. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Charlene Rutherford of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles "Chuck" Dale Rutherford and Claudia of Fayetteville and Kenny Rutherford and Linda of Highfill; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs with the Rev. Roger Robbins, the Rev. Bruce Holland and the Rev. Michael Moreland officiating. Burial will be in Springtown Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
