When George Robert Fowler was born on August 19, 1922, in Marvell, Arkansas, his father, George, was 26 and his mother, Mary, was 18. He married Beatrice Imogene Davis on February 23, 1943, in Arkansas. They had five children during their marriage. He died on November 16, 1972, in Arkansas at the age of 50.
