SPRINGDALE — On June 25, 2010, Dorce "Shilo" McKenzie Scruggs was welcomed through the arms of Jesus into his Heavenly home. Dorce was a loved husband, father, grandfather, friend and Christian. He was born on Aug. 19, 1927, in Bakersfield, Calif.

Shilo retired from Tyson Foods after more than 30 years of dedicated service. He was an avid fisherman and he loved to play dominoes.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Georgia Burgett Scruggs; one brother, Thurman Scruggs; one sister, Janie Wilkerson; and one son, Eddie Boudrey.

He is remembered and cherished by his wife, Bonnie Scruggs, of the home; two brothers, Luther Scruggs and his wife, Genevieve of Springdale, and Doil Scruggs and his wife, Betty, of Little Flock; one sister, Willabell Miller, of Shell Knob; and his nine children, Phillip Scruggs, of the home, Wanda Boudrey, of Rogers, Richard and Gail Feast, of Bentonville, Harvey and Marcia Stevens, of Lowell, and Tony and Debbie Mayorga, of Springdale; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and his devoted Yorkshire terrier, his "Little Girl," Abby Ann.

Services were held June 29, 2010, at Sisco Funeral Home followed by his interment at Fellowship Cemetery.
