Jesse W. "Buddy" Grant, 87, of Lexa, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Helena, Arkansas. Buddy was born December 14, 1924 at Haynes, Arkansas to the late Walter Grant and the late Lydia Shelton Grant. He was a member of Fourth Street Baptist Church in West Helena and retired from Mohawk Tire Company.He is survived by a son, Gene Wooten (June) of Lexa; three grandchildren, Gary Wooten (Cindy) of Rogers, Arkansas, April Medenwald (Chris) of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Jessica Wooten of Lowell, Arkansas; three great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Joshua and Madelyn Wooten, all of Rogers; and many other loving nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Ruby Ann Burchfield (Dee).He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy Montine Grant; and seven sisters.Services for Buddy Grant will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Fourth Street Baptist Church. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Reverend Rodger Hooker will officiate.Pallbearers are H.C. Everhart, Johnny Martin, Chad Alsup, Lance Madden, Don Holland and Bob McKinney. Honorary pallbearers are the men of Fourth Street Baptist Church, Harmony Baptist Church, and Rondo Baptist Church.Memorials may be made to Fourth Street Baptist Church, 1226 North Fourth Street, West Helena, Arkansas 72390.Services will be directed by Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, (870) 572-2571.
