Charles H. Burress, age 81, died Sunday, October 28, 2007 at his home in Bradford. He was born January 11, 1926 in Olyphant, Arkansas to the late George and Sara Wilcox Burress. He was a member of the Bradford Baptist Church; a 50 year member of Bradford Masonic Lodge #81; and a U.S. Army World War II veteran. He was a farmer, pawn shop owner and trader.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Hugh Burruss and four sisters, Audie Burress, Clyde Harris, Helen Reed and Prielda Gray.
He is survived by his previous wife, Betty McCourt of Bald Knob; three sons, Jerry Burress, Jim Burress and Ronnie Burress, all of Bradford; a daughter, Ann Davis of Bradford; a brother, Jennings Burruss of Bradford; two sisters, Maryetta West of Bald Knob and Georeia Straton of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at the Bradford Baptist Church with Bro. Tom Lewis officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Hill Cemetery in Possum Grape. A
