SPRINGDALE — Wilburn L. Hathorn, 83, of Springdale died October 24, 2008. He was born Feb. 22, 1925 in Kingston to Omer and Artie Fultz Hathorn.
He was an avid fisherman, hunter and worked 27 years as a mechanic for Heekin, now Diamond International.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Imalee White and Linda Graves; and two brothers, Grover Hathorn and Roman Hathorn.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Juanita R. Hathorn of Springdale; two sons, Ronnie Hathorn and Larry Hathorn of Springdale; a daughter, Connie Wade of Springdale; three sisters, Mildred Wilson of Weslaco, Texas, Donnie White of Highfill and Bonnie Graves of Springdale; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Kelly Yarbrough officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Sewell, Gerald Sewell, Rodney Hathorn, Cody Hathorn, Cory Hathorn and Mike White. Honorary Pallbearers will be Eddie Casebolt, Matthew White, Mark White and Butch Wiand. SPRINGDALE — Juanita R. Hathorn, age 86, of Springdale, Ark., passed away Aug. 8, 2014, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 7, 1928, in Springdale, Ark., a daughter of Otto Samuel Grigg and Tina Rachail (Rogers) Grigg. Juanita was a member of the African Violet Club of Springdale and enjoyed arts and crafts.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Wilburn L. Hathorn; two daughters, Imalee White and Linda Graves; a great-granddaughter, Gracie James Casebolt; two brothers and one sister.
Juanita is survived by her children, Ronnie Hathorn and wife Deborah, Larry Hathorn and wife Rosie and Connie Rogers and husband Larry, all of Springdale, Arkansas; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Raymond Grigg and wife Demita and David Grigg all of Springdale, Ark.; two sisters, Helen Lyons of Springdale, Ark., and Verma Whittin of California; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Chapel in Springdale on Monday, Aug. 11, 2014, at 5 p.m.-7 p.m. Funeral Service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, at the funeral home with Pastor Kelly Yarbrough to officiate. Pallbearers will be Jerry Sewell, Gerald Sewell, Rodney Hathorn, Cody Hathorn, Cory Hathorn, Mathew White and Mark White.
