When Betty Carolina Gentry was born on October 13, 1900, in Mississippi, her father, John, was 39, and her mother, Julia, was 30. She had three sons and three daughters with John Henson. She died on July 27, 1976, in Yazoo City, Mississippi, at the age of 75.
