December 4, 1947 - April 18, 2018
Donald was born on December 4, 1947 in Magnolia, AR to parents Basil Coda and Melba (Alford) Black and entered into eternal rest on April 18, 2018 at the age of 70. Donald served in the United States Navy during Vietnam. He worked for Skeeter Boats many years. Donald enjoyed drawing and fishing. He also loved playing his guitar and played in a band called Booga Lous. Donald’s most treasured thing in his life, were his grandchildren. He loved being their grandfather and spending time with them. Donald was a Christian man by faith. He was an amazing father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. Those who knew and loved him will miss Donald tremendously.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his son Donald Basil Black Jr. and wife Nikki of North Carolina, daughter Jennifer Blasingame and husband Paul of Caddo Mills, twin brother Dennis Black of Mabank, sister Mary Martinson and husband Steven of Mabank, grandchildren; Alexis Black of Caddo Mills, Cameron Black and fiancé Rachel of Caddo Mills, great-granddaughter Addison Black of Caddo Mills, other loving family members and many more friends.
