Melvin Calvin Dutton, 86, of Alma, Arkansas, died Sunday, August 28, 2016 in Van Buren, Arkansas.
He was born August 9, 1930 in Alma to Millerd and Laura Shores Dutton.
He was a retired Maintenance employee of Allen Canning and a member of Living Waters Church of Chester, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty Harrison Dutton; three sons, Paul, Orvel and Jimmy Pittser; and a granddaughter.
He is survived by a son, Calvin Dutton of Alma; a sister, Minna Henry of Van Buren; eleven grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Hight Cemetery in the Pleasant View Community of Ozark, Arkansas, with Brother James Mehaffey and James Harvey officiating under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.
Serving as pallbearers are Jessie, Calvin Dean, Dylon, Joshua, and Melvin Lee Dutton and Sumnal Johnson.

Betty Faye Dutton, 69, of Alma died Friday, Oct. 6, 2000, in her home. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pentecostal Church of Chester.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Hight Cemetery east of Mulberry under the direction of Shaffer Funeral home of Mulberry.
She is survived by her husband, Melvin Calvin Dutton; three sons, Orvel Pittser of Mountainburg, Jimmy Pittser of Rudy and Calvin Dutton of Alma; four sisters, Mary Henry of Mulberry, Ruthie Cook of Cedartown, Ga., Norene Gilbreth of Fort Smith and Carolyn Dutton of Winslow; four brothers, Johnny and David Harrison, both of Mountainburg, Floy Harrison of Sublette, Kan., and Jessie Harrison of Sallisaw; 11 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Robert Carrier, Kevin Melius, Robert Petersen, Lloyd Shores, Ronald Dutton and Bobby Allen.
