When Anna D. Nicks-Keaton was born on May 24, 1900, in Arkansas, her father, George, was 36, and her mother, Cynthia, was 23. She married James Douthard Keaton on April 21, 1918, in Arkansas City, Arkansas. They had one child during their marriage. She died on March 17, 1980, in Newport, Arkansas, at the age of 79, and was buried in Stuttgart, Arkansas.
