Richard William Wilson, age 79, of Glenwood, died Saturday, October 2, 2010.
He was born on May 29, 1931 in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Andrew Wilson and Zaida Davis Wilson. On October 4, 1968, he was married to Wilma Harmon.
He was a retired U. S. Army veteran where he served as a medic. He also retired as the emergency coordinator for Marietta, Ohio.
Survivors are his wife, Wilma Wilson of Glenwood; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Danita and Joe Johnson of Glenwood, Josephine Wilson of Columbus, Ohio, Bonnie Ann and Dave Noble of Columbus, Ohio and Carmen Wilson of Toledo, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Paulina Hayden of Reynoldsburg, Ohio and Rosemary Palsgrove of Laurelville, Ohio.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, October 6, 2010 in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Glenwood with Bro. John McAnally officiating.
Interment will be in the Glenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joseph Johnson, Nick Davis, Matthew McAnally, Richard Hudgins, Rodney Hudgins and Roger Hudgins.
