July 11, 1945 - April 27, 2017
Diane Jones Ferguson, daughter of the Imogene Upton Jones and the late Ed Jones, was born July 11, 1945 in Batesville, Arkansas. She departed this life April 27, 2017 at her home in Mt. Pleasant, Arkansas at the age of 71 years, 9 months and 16 days. In 1963 she was united in marriage to Don Ferguson and together they raised two children. Diane spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, homemaker and friend.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years: Don Ferguson of the home; two children: Amanda McTigue and husband Brian and Phil and Jamie Ferguson all of Mt. Pleasant; her mother: Imogene Jones of Guion; one sister: Eddie Jean Hall of Mt. Pleasant; five grandchildren: Leslie Brooks and husband Seth, Jordan Hutchins and wife Niki, Zack Ferguson, Hannah McTigue and Zane Ferguson; five great grandchildren: Claire Brooks, Charlie Brooks, Jay Hutchins, Eva McTigue and Jaxon Hutchins; one sister-in-law: Betty Campbell of Mt. Pleasant; one brother-in-law: Ronnie Ferguson of Mt. Pleasant and a host of other relatives and many good friends.
She was preceded in death by her father: Ed Jones; one sister: Peggy Stevens and one brother: David Jones.
Visitation and funeral service will be Monday, May 1, 2017 at Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Melbourne. Visitation will begin at 12 noon. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Reeves Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Zack Ferguson, Zane Ferguson, Jordan Hutchins, Seth Brooks, Russell Evans, Elliott Sampley.
