Obituary:
Mildred Charlotte Gibson, 95, of Bradford, AR., died Wednesday, February 6, 2013.

She was born November 14, 1917, in Denmark, AR., to the late John Oce and Nora Hickman Gibson.

Mildred graduated from Pleasant Plains High School then attended Harding College to obtain her Bachelor's degree in education. She then received her Master's degree from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. She taught elementary school at Hardy, Memphis, Bald Knob and Bradford. In her early years Mildred and her sisters had a Trio they were known as the "Gibson Sisters". Singing was a passion for her. For a few years in the 1950's she was a missionary in Brazil. She was a member of the Pleasant Plains Baptist Church. Although Mildred had many activities going on whether it was for church or school she never missed a chance to spend time with her nieces and nephews. "MiMi" as they all called her was a doting aunt that was fun loving and compassionate.

She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother, John Oce Gibson, Jr., 4 sisters, Helen Gibson, Etoile Sims, Norine Wilson and Nettie Henderson.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Services were held at Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Bald Knob. Interment was in Bethlehem Cemetery at Denmark.
