William "Bill" Jefferson Bowlin, 55, 1408 Davis Ave., Springdale, died Dec. 17 in Springdale Memorial Hospital. Born Aug. 30, 1924, at Spring Valley, he was the son of Monzell and Susan Rosetta Davis Bowlin. He was a member of Springdale Full Gospel Church and a Navy veteran of World War II. He had been in the employ of Tyson's for 19 years and was a long haul truck dispatcher.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nina Whittle Bowlin of the home; four sons, Jerry Bowlin of Winslow, Dale Bowlin, William Bowlin and Dennis Bowlin of Springdale; one daughter, Mrs. Larry (Marcella) Main of Springdale; his father of Nob Hill; five brothers, Doc Bowlin of Springdale, Sterling Bowlin, Winfred Bowlin, Gordon "Jinks" Bowlin and Keith Bowlin of Nob Hill; five sisters, Mrs. Ruth Oxford and Mrs. Lois Dean Wolf of Springdale, Mrs. Bonnie Sizemore of Rogers, Mrs. Verla Baker of Nob Hill and Mrs. Jesse Pitts of Orlando, Fla.; and eight grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Sisco Chapel with the Rev. Arthur Lee Galloway officiating. Burial will be in Bluff Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jacy Ivy, Fred Stamps, Don Carney, J. C. Howell, Mike Doffin and Dayid Drymon.

SPRINGDALE — Nina Mae Bowlin Seals, 83, of Springdale, died Thursday, July 31, 2014, at Northwest Medical Center. She was born Dec. 29, 1930, in Spring Valley to Norman Clark and Amanda Catherine "Mandy" Graves Whittle.

Nina enjoyed rose gardening, sewing, and helping others. She loved her dogs and working at the Springdale Youth Center in her later years. She was an active member at Mercy and Grace Cathedral.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bill Bowlin in 1979; a son, Dale Bowlin; and a brother, Kenneth Whittle.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Seals of the home; four children, Jerry Bowlin and wife Elaine of Mountainburg, Marcella Main of Fayetteville, William Bowlin of Springdale, Dennis Bowlin and wife Dorothy also of Springdale; three brothers, Billy Whittle, Larry Whittle and Benjamin Whittle, all of Springdale; six sisters, Mary Green of Bethel Heights, Norma Faye Ingram of Hindsville, Josephine Laird, Catherine Sue Hawkins, Virginia Nagy and Hazel Parsons, all of Springdale; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, at Mercy and Grace Cathedral with Pastors Euel Bilderback and Larry Marler officiating. Burial will be at Bluff Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church.
