Springdale -- John Frank Burgess, 71, of 501 W. Huntsville St., Springdale, died Friday, May 14, at the Springdale Memorial Hospital. Born May 15, 1899 at Osage County, Kan. the son of James P. and Elizabeth Eccleston Burgess, he was a member of the First Nazarene Church and a barber.
He is survived by three sons, Leonard F. and Bob O., both of Modesto, Calif., and J. Leroy, of Springdale; two daughters, Mrs. Glenn Nale of Grandview, Mo., and Mrs. Bob Dickard of Johnson; one brother, Porter E. Burgess of Minneola, Kan., and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the First Nazarene Church with burial in Bluff Cemetery under the direction of Sisco Funeral Home.
