When Luther Calvin Carlisle was born on May 26, 1884, in Jackson, Tennessee, his father, Elijah, was 28 and his mother, Mary, was 27. He married Lena E Branch on March 12, 1913. He died on October 27, 1966, in Stuttgart, Arkansas, at the age of 82, and was buried there.
