Earl Leo Ivey of Siloam Springs departed this life on Saturday, July 16, 2011, at the Northwest Regional Hospital in Bentonville, Arkansas. Earl was born November 3, 1934, in Benton County to Sylvester and Rosie Etta (Robison) Ivey.

He worked for Allens canning company for several years as a Field manager before moving to Elk City, OK in 1980 when he went to work in the oilfields. When he retired in 2007, he moved back to Siloam Springs, AR. Earl enjoyed doing yard work, driving trucks, playing cards, spending time with family and friends, and giving people a rough time.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents, Walter L and Josie (Wood) Robison and William A and Jenny J (Davis) Ivey; one son, Seargent First Class Earl Wayne Ivey; and two brothers, Virgil Dee Ivey and Loyd Alton Ivey.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, of the home; two sons, Dustin Ivey and wife Sarah Faith of Lowell, Arkansas; and Jimmy Ivey of Las Vegas, Nevada; one daughter, Jessica Ivey Vaughn, of Stillwell, Oklahoma; one brother, Ralph Ivey of Afton, Oklahoma; two sisters, Lucille Morris and husband, Raymond of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and Sue Southard and husband, Larry of Bay, Arkansas; and one sister-in-law, Barbara (Davis) Ivey of Fort Scott, Kansas; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

Viewing will be held Friday July 22, 2011 from 10am to 8pm with family in attendance from 6 to 8pm.

Funeral Services will be Saturday July 23, 2011 at 2pm Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Siloam Springs with Pastor Chip Reagan officiating. Burial will follow at Bluff Cemetery in Springdale, AR.

Arrangements were made under the direction of Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.
