Obituary:
Mrs. Versie Irene Barrentine, 78, died Monday, November 9, 1998, at the nursing home in
Judsonia, Ark.
Mrs. Barrentine was born May 29, 1920 at Velvet Ridge, Ark. The daughter of Moses and Phoebe Hood Wallis.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11 at Powell Funeral Home in Bald Knob. Ark.
Survivors include Melvin Guthrie of Shreveport, La., Don Guthrie of Bald Knob, Ark., Malcolm Barrentine of Bald Knob; daughter, Joann Barrentine Fisth of Sherwood, Ark., Mary Irene Barrentine O'Dell of Bald Knob; stepsons, William Barrentine of Greenwood, Richard Barrentine of Hamilton, step-daughter, Corene Halman of Morrilton, Ark., Bernice Holt of Coila, Clarice Thompson of Greenwood; one sister, Velva Davis of Bradford, Ark. 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association Research Center, Ark. Chapter, Little Rock, Arkansas.
