January 20, 1964 - August 30, 2018

John Jackson, Jr., was born January 20, 1964, in New Edinburg, Arkansas to John Wallace Jackson and Beatrice Gregory. He passed from this life on August 30, 2018.

John learned of the Lord at an early age and he loved Christ. He was a member of Faithway COGIC in Bearden, Arkansas. John was a 1981 graduate of Bearden High School.

Friends and family often referred to him by his nickname “Badd”. He possessed a strong work ethic and was a great brick layer and concrete finisher. By all accounts he was a “jack of all trades” and was known for his car detailing jobs. His hobbies included fishing and his favorite football team was the St. Louis Rams. He was a person who didn’t mind helping anybody. He enjoyed listening to the music, and just having a good time. John was the life of the party. He will live on in the hearts of his loved ones and friends. He possessed a friendly spirit and never met a stranger. He meant what he said, and said what he meant. His natural wit and humor could never be duplicated.

Family, as well as friends, will miss him and his presence will be deeply missed. John was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Brenda Hughes.

He leaves a lifetime of memories with one son, Brandon Harper and three daughters, Brittany Parham, Shiontez Parham all of Bearden, AR and Endya Jackson of Camden, AR; four grandchildren, Zyon Parham, Taylor Parham, Riley Parham, and Jamari Brown; five brothers, Maurice (Jackie) Jackson, Andre (Luciana) Jackson both of Bearden, AR, Steve (Brenda) Jackson of Las Vegas, NV, Gregory Smith and Edward Smith both of Chicago, IL; five sisters, Verna Jackson and Wanda Ellison both of Bearden, AR, Stephanie Lockhart, Pamela Smith and Debra Sue Smith all of Chicago, IL: a special friend-classmate, Lindburgh Gibbs of Camden, AR; an aunt, Esther Gregory of Bearden, AR and an uncle, Lawrence Gregory of Bearden, AR. He also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Public viewing will be from 12 noon until 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 7, 2018 at Williams Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the F. O. Jones Auditorium in Bearden, Arkansas with Elder Kent Broughton, eulogist. Interment will be at New White Springs Community Cemetery.
