Dbl stone w/Olevia Z. Laxton
Elvin Craig "Sonny" Laxton, 82, of Bradford, died Sunday, October 20, 2013 at his home. He was born July 3, 1931 in Bradford a son of the late Benton and Chloe Hickmon Laxton. Sonny was a retired maintenance man and bus driver for the Bald Knob School District.
He is survived by his wife, Olevia Laxton; brother, Larry Laxton; daughter-in-law, Cindy Laxton; granddaughter, Donna Basinger; great-grandson, Jacob Basinger.
He was preceded in death by his son, Tommy Dean Laxton; sister, Etoile Nebergall; brothers, Kent, Bobbie and Doyle Dean Laxton.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery at Denmark. Arrangements are entrusted to Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob-Judsonia.
