When Henry Clay Roberson was born on December 12, 1852, in Georgia, his father, Henry, was 37 and his mother, Susannah, was 35. He married Caroline Greer (1848–1909) and they had one daughter together. He then married Eliza Jane Bradley and they had eight children together. He died on July 29, 1927, in Coffey, Arkansas, at the age of 74, and was buried in Harmony, Arkansas.
