When Susannah Smithwick Roberson and her twin sister Sarah were born on December 20, 1816, in Coweta, Georgia, their father, Edmond, was 27 and their mother, Piety, was 26. She married Robert Leonard Roberson on October 25, 1836, in her hometown. They had eight children in 20 years. She died in 1880 in Des Arc, Arkansas, at the age of 64, and was buried in Arkansas.
