BENTONVILLE — Elmer E. Scott, 85, of Bentonville died May 16, 2006, at Bentonville. He was born Oct. 4, 1920, in Spring Valley to Houston Edward and Mary Lee Van Winkle Scott. He was a self-employed plumber and electrician and attended Bethel Baptist Church in Bentonville. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II and a member of the Foot Hills of the Ozark's Car Club and the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Mabel Lawson Scott of the home, to whom he was married June 28, 1941; one daughter, Carolyn Sue Mulanax of Bentonville; one son, Jake E. Scott and wife Sue of Bentonville; one daughter, Joan Dean Chism and husband Chuck of Bentonville; one brother, Jimmy Scott of Carthage, Mo.; one sister, Ruth Gayer of Goshen; four grandchildren; one stepgrandson; seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Bethel Baptist Church with Brandon Cox officiating. Burial will be in Bentonville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the church.

Arrangements are by Benton County Funeral Home in Rogers.

BENTONVILLE - Mabel Geraldine Scott, 95, of Bentonville left this world in the early morning hours of Jan. 23, 2019, to forever spend eternity with the Lord. Mabel was born Nov. 3, 1923, to Gilbert and Lucile Lawson. She was one of 11 children.

Mabel married Elmer Scott on June 25, 1941, and spent almost her entire life in the Bentonville area. She worked as the bookkeeper for Scott Plumbing. Mabel was blessed with three children: Carolyn, Jake and Joan.

No matter the circumstance Mabel always had a smile on her face and a kind word for all she encountered. Her strength and loving nature came from her deep faith and love for our savior Jesus Christ. No matter how difficult times would get her love of God grew stronger.

Mabel was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 64 years, Elmer Scott; her daughter, Carolyn Mulanax; her daughter, Joan Chism, and eight brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son, Jake Scott of Bentonville; son-in-law Chuck Chism of Bella Vista; sister Shirley Holiday of Bentonville; brother Jim Lawson of Decatur; grandchildren Sanwanya English of Bentonville, Lisa Brewer of Bentonville, Brandi Roland of Bentonville, Keith Scott of Bentonville; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2019, at the Bentonville Cemetery. Online condolences can be made to www.bentoncountyfuneralhome.com. Arrangements by Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. Fourth St., Rogers, Ark.
