Janice Carolyn Honeycutt Gillespie will be laid to rest alongside her Dad, Mom and younger brother Gary on the family plot located in the Memorial Cemetery in Camden, AR April 15. Jan passed away in the Gulf Coast Hospital in Ft. Myers, Florida on Wednesday April 8, 2020.
Janice went by Jan all her adult life. She was born in Camden, Arkansas on Feb. 7, 1942 to W.T. And Bess Honeycutt. Jan lived most of her life on Hennessy St. in Camden, AR. She graduated from Fairview High School in 1960 and was elected Homecoming Queen her Senior year. Jan was an accomplished painter/artist and painted hundreds of pieces. She was also an accomplished, self-taught sculptress and several of her pieces were purchased from an art shop in Little Rock by President Bill Clinton.
Jan is survived by her son Rob and his wife Cindy of Columbus, Ohio and granddaughter Moierana. Jan is also survived by her daughter, Tiffany Ann Duclos, granddaughter Sophie, and grandson, Luc of Ft. Myers, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to The March of Dimes which Jan was a supporter. Proctor Funeral Home will oversee services.
