*UNMARKED GRAVEYARD MARKER

Gehring's Chapel (aka Stearns) (Fayetteville) Cemetery
Washington County,
Arkansas

According to electrical resistance imagery data, this section adjacent to the cemetery has numerous unmarked graves. This site is believed to be the burial ground for paupers and free or enslaved African Americans in the community.

Blessed be the memory of those who have no name, no face.
What did your life capture? What did your life give? You may have been an outcast while here. Your dreams cast down just for being you. You have found rest from the issues of this life. Now life offers a position worthy of honor and dignity.

In memory of our unknown and unforgotten brothers and sister, valued and loved by Gos.

"The time is always right to do what is right." -- Martin Luther King, Jr.
