August 3, 1923 - July 5, 2010
Mary Marcille Garner was born, August 3rd, 1923 in Ogemaw, AR and went home to be with the Lord on July 5th, 2010, at the age of 86. She was a Christian and a member of Believers Church.
Mrs. Garner was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Ora Mae Riley, one sister, Merle Smith, and two brothers, Louie Riley and Jimmy Riley. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Marvin Garner.
She is survived by one sister, Ruby Nell Bradley, of Pine Bluff, AR, a son Ben Garner and wife Nancy, of Camden. She is also survived by two granddaughters, Kelly Bixler, and husband Bryan, of Texarkana, AR, and Brooke Garner of Texarkana, TX. Two step-grandsons, Clay Knox, and wife Libby of Spring Hill, AR and Tyler Knox, and wife Spencer of Camden. Finally, she is survived by 3 great-grand children, Madelyn and Kathryn Bixler and Kasin Vallejos, and 2 step great-grandchildren, Dylan and Lacy Knox.
In her day she was feared on every athletic playing field, adored behind the counters of JC Penney’s and the Quik Pik, where she worked faithfully for 43 and 27 years respectively. She was an avid Arkansas Razorback fan and will be sorely missed by all who came to love her.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p. m. Wednesday at Proctor Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8 p. m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A private burial will follow the service. To sign the online guest register, visit www.proctorfuneralhome.com
