Catherine Raye Sadler Alexander, 85 of Conway, Arkansas, formally of Camden, Arkansas passed from this life surrounded by friends and family Saturday, June 9, 2018. Born January 24, 1933 to William and Tillie Sadler in Greenwood, Arkansas, she is preceded in death by her parents, all 8 siblings, husband of 39 years, Dillard Alexander, and son-in-law Robert Kemper. She was a member of the Prince Street Church of Christ.

Our mother worked all her life after graduating high school. She was always promoted to manager status with every job she aquired. Her last job was manager of the Hush Puppy Restaurant where all her employees lovingly called her Mrs. A. She was a very personable individual who people were drawn to by her remarkable ability to make everyone feel special. She retired and moved to Conway to be closer to her grandchildren. She was an avid Razorback fan who counted down the days to each football/basketball season. She resided at Oakwood Apartments where she had a wealth of friends who she loved dearly.

Our mother is survived by her 4 children, Mike (Rosey) Alexander of Camden, Tanya (Orvin) Hightower of Harrison, Scott Alexander of Conway, and Bruce Alexander of Vilonia. She leaves behind her favorite people in the world 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren with 3 on the way, and 5 great-great grandchlidren. She also leaves behind her very best friend and caregiver, Olivia. Olivia was sent to us from God to love and care for our mother. The special bond they shared comforted my mother everyday.

We would like to offer a special thank you to her physician, Dr. Blair Greenwood who provided exceptional care for years. We couldn’t have received better care or services than what the staff and doctors at UAMS provided for our mother during her final days; it was exemplary. We are very thankful for the wonderful care and services provided to our mother through Care Link.

A chapel service is open to the public, 2:00 PM Monday, June 11, 2018 at Proctor Funeral Home Chapel. Her grandsons, Robert Kemper, Jr. and Bobby Blackburn, Jr.will be officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. To sign the online guest register visit www.proctorfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 15829, Arlington, VA 22215.
