Anne Louise Merritt, of Camden, AR passed away June 21, 2017. She was born June 27, 1924 in Camden, AR to Ed and Margaret Leysath. She married T.W. "Tommy" Merritt and lived in Camden and they retired to White Oak Lake. Her last years, she enjoyed being a resident and living with many new friends at Garrett Woods Assistance Living in Hot Springs, AR. She lastly lived at Quapaw Care and Rehab in Hot Springs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and brother. Edwin J. Leysath, Jr.
She is survived by her sons, T. David Merritt of Hot Springs, AR and Dennis W. Merritt of Little Rock, AR. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, Kim, Thomas, Brian, Brooke, Brandon, Blair, Blake, and Brett and twelve great-grandchildren. She also leaves one sister and brother in law, Virginia and Jerry McNeely and nephew, Dean, of Houston, Texas.
The family expresses our appreciation to the wonderful staff and residents at Garrett Woods Assistance Living in Hot Springs and the staff at Quapaw Care and Rehab. Louise enjoyed so much working puzzles, playing bingo, and all the other activities. The family also appreciates the Hospice staff.
A graveside memorial service will be held in Camden, Arkansas at 11:00AM on Friday, June 23, 2017 at Memorial Park Cemetery, and services conducted by her granddaughter The Rev. Kim A. Merritt Hobby.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Garrett Woods Assistance Living, 142 Brighton Terrace, Hot Springs, AR 71913. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
