Obituary for Barbara Nahdyne Barner
Barbara Nahdyne Harrell Hollis Barner, age 79, of Fordyce died Wednesday February 1, 2017 at her home.
Born January 2, 1938 in Bearden, she was the daughter of the late Robert Ray Harrell and Dollie Mae Evans Harrell. She was a member of Bearden Missionary Baptist Church.
She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Paul Hollis, who died September 27, 1970, and Jerrell Franklin Barner, who died July 16, 2015; two brothers, Ray Harrell and Benny Harrell; and a son-in-law, Raymond Crane.
She is survived by one daughter, Maria Hollis Crane of Fordyce; three sons, Robert Hollis of Fordyce, Randy Hollis and spouse Robin of Warren, and Josh Barner of Bearden; three grandchildren, Kevin Crane of Camden, Angela Crane of Fordyce, and Glenn Lansdale of Orlando, FL; one sister, Joyce Harrell Noble and spouse Ronnie of New Edinburg.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday February 4, 2017 at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Woolley officiating. Burial will follow at Evans Cemetery at Bearden. Active pallbearers are Robert Hollis, Randy Hollis, Josh Barner, Kevin Crane, Glenn Lansdale, and Michael Harrell.
