S. J. Culp, age 37, of 13309 Blackard Street died in his home Saturday. He was born August 23, 1926 at Mt. Holly, the son of Bennie and Bobbie Culp. He was a member of First Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II. Surviving are; a daughter, Nancy Jean Culp; step-father, Sam Rainey both of El Dorado; two sisters, Miss Obie Rainey of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Ethel Lee Palmore of Detroit, Mich.; six brothers, John Culp of Chicago, Ill., Timmon Culp of Portland, Ore., Jerry D. Rainey of Chicago, Ill., Eddie, Sammie, and Paul Rainey, all of Los Angeles, Calif. (The El Dorado Times - August 26, 1964)
