October 4, 1915 - March 17, 1969
W. Tom Beavers, 53, of Stephens died at a Camden hospital at 6:45 a.m. Monday. He was a mason, and a member of Salem Baptist Church. Survivors include huis wife, one son Sgt. Tommy Beavers of U.S. Air Force, Puerto Rico; three daughters, Mrs. Christine Miller, and Mrs. Willie Mae Smelser, both of Route 1, Stephens, Mrs. Billie Rae Davidson, Malvern, his mother, Mrs. Vinie Beavers, Mt. Holly; one brother, Walter Beavers, El Dorado; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Jones, Bossier City, La., and Mrs. Eva Mae Ward, Malvern; and seven grandchildren. Funeral service will be at the Salem church and burial at Salem Cemetery on Stephens-Mt. Holly highway. Time, to be announced by Smith Funeral Service of Stamps, pending arrival of son from Puerto Rico. (Camden News - March 18, 1969)
