Howard Elwin Satterlee, 77, of Bentonville, died Friday, Oct. 23, at Bella Vista.
Born Jan 31, 1916, in Guthrie County, Iowa, to Eugene Satterlee and Myrtle Jones Satterlee, he moved here in 1977 from Winterset, Iowa. He was a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Bentonville.
Survivors are his wife, Elsie Satterlee; a son, Wayne Satterlee of Williamsburg, Iowa; three daughters, Phyllis Branson of Des Moines, Iowa, Linda Gilge of Bentonville and Judy Chandler of Tontitown; three brothers, Oren and Burdette Satterlee, both of Bentonville, and Max Satterlee of Peru, Iowa; a sister, Beulah Travis of Dallas, Texas; and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral is set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers with the Rev. Ernie Watson officiating. Burial is to be in Bentonville Cemetery. Visitation is set for 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
