When Burley Ray Haley/Woodall was born on May 7, 1914, in Clinton, Arkansas, his father, James, was 50 and his mother, Doshia, was 25. He married on February 6, 1939. He then married Josephine Breece on February 14, 1969, in Anderson, Indiana. He died on March 27, 1989, in Searcy, Arkansas, at the age of 74, and was buried there.
