"Virgie D. Hartsell, 87, of Camden, died Saturday, March 03, 2007 in the Ouachita County Medical Center in Camden. Mrs. Hartsell was born August 11, 1919 in Laneburg, the daughter of George and Jewel Julie Cross Barker. She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Baptist Church in Camden. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Comer Hartsell, brothers, Delton Barker and Tilmon Barker; and great grandchildren Buddy Thomas and Brandi Thomas. Survivors include her son, James H. Hartsell of China; daughters, Nancy L. May of Stephens, and Georgeanne Scott of Camden; sister Gean Smith of Gilmore, TX; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. Funeral services for Mrs. Hartsell will be 2:00 P.M. Monday at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Foster officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Proctor Funeral Home of Camden is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
