Virgle J. Richey
May 28, 1932 - January 16, 2020
Virgle J. Richey 87 of Walnut Ridge; died January 16, 2020 in the Flo and Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro.
Born May 28, 1932 in Jessup; son of the late Judson and Eula Walling Richey. He was a retired Sawmill operator and a member of the Shannon Baptist Church. Virgle was a fan of the old Western movies, cartoons, visiting the Daycare and spending time with his grandbabies.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his children’s mother, Elizabeth Holman; his wife, Louise; a son David Richey; three brothers, Edward Lee, James and Mike Richey; and two sisters, Glenda Lewis and Jennella Tyler.
Survivors include four daughters, Ann (Ronnie) Powell of Bauxite, Carrie Richey of Murtle Beach, S.C., Rachel (Terrell) Richardson of Hoxie and Paulletta (James) Ross of Jonesboro; one son, Warren “Jimmy Dean” Carpenter; seventeen grandchildren; twenty six great grandchildren; one brother, Jim (Mary) Richey of Lynn; and a very special friend, Minerva Seagraves; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be Sunday January 26, 2020 at 2 P.M. in the Bryan Chapel with Bro. Michael Freeman officiating. Pallbearers will be his family and friends. Interment will follow in the Old Lebanon Cemetery near Lynn.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 25, 202 from 6 P.M. till 8 P.M. in the Bryan Chapel.
