Wava Colleen McLaughlin, 80, of Judsonia, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019. She was born on January 26, 1938 in Judsonia, Arkansas to Ray Robert Schrand and Nola Della Watkins Schrand. Mrs. McLaughlin was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jimmy McLaughlin; sister, Modean Welsh, two brothers, Raymone Schrand and Claude Schrand; grandson, Victor Ross; and daughter-in-law, Patty McLaughlin.

Wava lived her life for God. She was a faithful member of Clearwater Missionary Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school. She was active in her church, school, and community, which included her becoming a 4-H leader. Wava was very hard-working. She was a farmer for many years and also worked at the Birdseye factory. She later became a housekeeper.

She loved life and truly loved her family. That love was shared with all she knew.

She is survived by four children, Robert Dewayne McLaughlin, Sharon McLaughlin, Sheila (Greg) Ross and Sonya Spears; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two nieces, Claudia Ann and Connie; and many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be from 12:00 -1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Roller- Daniel Funeral Home Chapel in Searcy. Funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at White County Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Clearwater Missionary Baptist Church in Judsonia.

Jimmy Dewayne McLaughlin of Judsonia, Arkansas passed away August 10, 2018 in Searcy at the age of 83 years. He was born on April 9, 1935 in Judsonia to the late Richard Henry and Stella Mae McDoughle McLaughlin. He was a faithful member of Clearwater Missionary Baptist Church.

Mr. McLaughlin was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Doyl, Bob and Danny Ray McLaughlin and one sister Doris McLaughlin.

Mr. McLaughlin is survived by his wife of 63 years Wava Colleen Schrand McLaughlin; four children, Robert Dewayne McLaughlin, Sharon McLaughlin, Sheila (Greg) Ross, and Sonya Jo Spears all of Judsonia; eight grandchildren, Marsha Moser, Wave Nicole Fulbright, Darriel McLaughlin, Shawn and Heath Skinner, Vincent and Victor Ross and Dillon Spears; nine great grandchildren; three sisters, Betty Yarbery of New York, Patsy Martin and Dasiel Beaver both of Pleasant Plains along with many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

Mr. McLaughlin was a man of the deepest concern and love for his family. He has remained on or near his home place except for the brief time he traveled for work to provide for his family, but returned home and remained until the time of his death. He was proud of each of his children and grandchildren and enjoyed every minute that he got to spend with them. He felt his responsibility to his family was the most important thing in his life and he showed that in all that he did.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 13, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home Chapel in Searcy with interment at White County Memorial Gardens to follow. In lieu of flowers, Mr. McLaughlin requested that Memorials be made to Clearwater Missionary Baptist Church. Online guestbook: www.rollerfuneralhomes.com/searcy.
