Amy Janell Baker Avey, daughter of Jackie and Lyn Treat Baker, was born January 29, 1981 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She departed this life July 8, 2020 at her home in Dolph, Arkansas at the age of 39 years, 5 months and 10 days. Amy was a 1999 graduate of Norfork High School. She was united in marriage to Randy Avey and together they blessed with four children. Amy spent her life as a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker, caregiver and friend. At the time of her death, she was a substitute teacher at Calico Rock High School. Over the years, Amy and Randy were foster parents to many children. Amy was of the Baptist faith and a member of Dolph Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband: Randy Avey of the home; four children: Erica Cantrell and husband Jacob of Norfork, Will Hood and fiancé Krestun of Pineville, Sadie Avey and Ryder Avey of the home; her parents: Jackie and Lyn Baker of Norfork; her maternal grandmother: Nora Treat of Mountain Home; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and her Dolph Baptist Church family and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents: James and Mary Baker and maternal grandfather: Bill Treat.

Graveside funeral service will be Tuesday, July 14 at 10:00 a.m. at Galatia Cemetery under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock with Ray Carneal officiating. Burial will be at Galatia Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to: Dolph Baptist Church, C/O Shoebox Project, 992 Rodney Cutoff Road, Dolph, AR 72528.

Pallbearers: Sean Bailey, Israel Rangel, Jody Clinkingbeard, Caleb Walker, Dean Bailey, Brian Bailey.
