Lena Ruth Story Pearson was born to John W. and Ella Mathes Story on February 13, 1928 in Griffithville, Arkansas and died on March 21, 2019 in Searcy, Arkansas.

Mrs. Pearson graduated from Griffithville High School and Harding College. She met her husband, Charles L. Pearson while attending Harding and they were married July 22, 1948. They had thirty-five years together before his death. They were the parents of two children, Charla Ann Schol and Mark Alan Pearson.

She was a school teacher and retired from the Headstart Program. She enjoyed sewing, needle crafts and gardening. She was a member of West Side Church of Christ.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles, her daughter, Charla Ann, parents, John and Ella Story, brother, Preston Story, and sister, Gloria Walden.

She is survived by son, Mark Pearson, son-in-law Eric Schol and his wife Laura Corder Schol, grandsons John and Grant Schol and Hunter Corder, sister-in-law, Nita Story, nieces, Cheryl Harris, Karla Caraway, Susan Abram, nephews, Robert Story and Kevin Walden.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy and Funeral Service on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at 2:00 PM also at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at White County Memorial Gardens.

All services are under the direction of Roller-Daniel Funeral Home, Searcy, Arkansas.
